- (1964- )Irish poet from Cork City who trained at the Samuel Beckett Drama Centre, Trinity College, Dublin. She won the Irish Times/ESB Best Actress of the Year Award 2002. More recently she appeared as Pegeen Mike in Playboy of the Western World and as Nora Burke in The Shadow of the Glen as part of Druid Theatre Company's acclaimed production DruidSynge for Galway Arts Festival and as part of Edinburgh International Festival 2005. She has appeared on the BBC TV, on Radio Telefís Éireann (RTE) and on BBC Radio. She co-edits hardPressed Poetry, an Irish poetry publishing and distributing company in Dublin, with Billy Mills.
